A Taste of What You'll Do
Join GALLO as a General Laborer and play an essential role in supporting safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys varied work, takes pride in maintaining an organized work environment, and values being part of a collaborative team.
You will operate and support a range of production and material-handling equipment, such as extractors, mills, repacking equipment, forklifts, fillers, dryers, filters, pumps, yard equipment, and aerial lifts. Your day may include reviewing the operating schedule and equipment status at shift start, monitoring tank levels, building hose lineups for product transfers and tank cleaning, moving portable pumps, making scheduled treatment or material additions, and maintaining the cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
You will use standard operating procedures, work instructions, visual management tools, and work-order systems to complete assigned tasks and communicate progress in real time. Working closely with shift leads, team leaders, and peers, you will help identify equipment or sanitation needs, share job status, and support teammates across the production area when needed.
Safety, quality, and environmental stewardship are central to this role. You will follow GMP, PPE, and other applicable policies; inspect your work area and production line for conditions that could affect safety or product quality; and take appropriate action to address issues such as spills, broken glass, or unsanitary conditions. If an error occurs, you will promptly communicate the facts to your Team Leader so the team can respond effectively. We welcome people with a range of backgrounds who bring reliability, attention to detail, a willingness to learn new processes, and a commitment to teamwork. Your contributions will help GALLO deliver quality products while creating a workplace where everyone can do their best work.
