This position will primarily be located at Courtside Winery. 

$2,500 sign-on bonus included! 

 

The Maintenance Technician level 2 provides mechanical maintenance/repair support for winery operations at central coast facilities.

 

Shift:

Swing - 3pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday 

 

Compensation:

Hiring Salary Range Posted: $32.12 / hr -  $43.37 / hr + $2,500 sign-on bonus! 
Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

What You Will Do:

You'll lead the charge in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets our high standards. From disassembling malfunctioning machinery to performing detailed inspections and calibrations. You'll work on diverse projects, respond to emergency maintenance calls, and have the opportunity to push for continuous improvement. Your ability to interpret technical documents will be key as you work to keep our operations running efficiently. Collaboration is at the heart of our work environment, and you'll maintain positive relationships across functions, providing feedback and interacting with vendor contractors to ensure all work meets our stringent requirements. Safety is our top priority, and you'll champion occupational safety standards, giving feedback and demonstrating safe behavior at all times. Your skill set will also include electrical installations, plumbing, machining, welding, and more, ensuring you're equipped to handle any challenge. With a focus on preventative maintenance, you'll keep critical winery systems, bottling lines, and processing equipment in peak condition. We're looking for a team player who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our winery. 

 

What You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 3 years of maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, industrial mechanical or automotive environment.
  • Required to complete and maintain certifications as assigned.
  • Depending on work location may be required to work a rotating shift/schedule throughout the year (day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10); required to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver's license or appropriate state driver's license within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to conduct work at heights.
  • Required to lift and carry tools and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work in a tight and confined space.
  • Required to provide own basic hand tools.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic electrical concepts.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel at a basic level.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Associates degree or 2-year Technical Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Maintenance and Repair plus 5 years of maintenance experience working on equipment or industrial motors and pumps reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Industrial trade experience to include Refrigeration and HVAC.
  • Project management experience.
  • Basic understanding of PLC's.
  • Experience with maintenance management software; data entry and basic PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Skilled in forklift and aerial lift operation.
  • Experience working in a food and beverage manufacturing facility.
  • Knowledge of drinking water and waste water systems.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing large production equipment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
