Orin Swift Cellars is seeking a Senior Manager who will focus on brand marketing and expanding our presence in wholesale channels. The role will be instrumental in steering the financial and strategic direction of the company, with a particular emphasis on enhancing our brand's market position and optimizing our wholesale strategy. This role is pivotal in working with our DTC leadership team to drive our Wine Club acquisitions, increase Tasting Room traffic, deepen consumer and member engagement, and spearhead our penetration in targeted wholesale channels.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Brand Marketing Leadership: Spearhead the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies to bolster brand recognition and consumer engagement. Lead the digital marketing and brand team to create compelling campaigns that resonate with our target audience and drive growth.

 

  • Wholesale Channel Strategy: Aggressively pursue opportunities to expand the estate’s presence in desired wholesale channels. Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributors and operators, ensuring our brand is prominently represented and effectively marketed.

 

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement long-term business strategies that align with the estate’s vision and financial goals. This entails leading the charge in brand capability building, optimizing business models, and refining our path-to-market approach to enhance brand equity and financial returns.

 

  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial-related activities, ensuring strategies are cost-effective and support the long-term financial health of the company. This includes meticulous management of margins, advertising & promotion budgets, and overhead costs to maximize profitability.

 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the public figurehead of the Estate, engaging with key stakeholders including distributors, operators, and consumers. Maintain and grow the Estate’s brand partnerships, ensuring our brand is effectively represented in the market and through wholesale channels.

 

  • Operational Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the tasting room and Consumer Experience, fostering an environment that enhances brand loyalty and customer satisfaction.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of marketing, winemaking, operations, restaurant management, direct to consumer sales, communications, finance, new product development, engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of marketing, winemaking, operations, restaurant management, direct to consumer sales, communications, finance, new product development, engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of Gallo brand marketing or hospitality experience to include experience in the Luxury BU reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 14 years of marketing, winemaking, operations, restaurant management, direct to consumer sales, communications, finance, new product development, engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
  • Experience working with wholesale marketing.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to see, smell and taste wine as part of job duties.
  • Experience with Luxury consumers in marketing or sales.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
  • Required to spend 25% of time traveling in-market, apart from BU driven meetings.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. What Will Set You Apart:

  • Master of Business Administration degree plus 12 years of Gallo brand marketing or hospitality experience to include Luxury BU experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Multiple Gallo marketing rotations.
  • Brand Marketing experience.
  • Tasting Room/Club acquisition Leadership Experience.

 

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $165,300 - $247,900 plus 10% performance bonus
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
