In a historic bank building in downtown St. Helena, CA we’ve designed a space to bring you into our world of Orin Swift. We are seeking a Part-Time Tasting Room Representative to represent the brand, while working as part of a team to support visitor center operations in a manner that achieves the established financial goals, ensures a rich consumer experience, builds consumer loyalty and reflects the brand essence.

 

The role involves preparing the tasting room for daily operations, promoting wine and non-wine products, and providing visitors with information about wines and the winery's history. Responsibilities include andling transactions, inventory/stocking of retail items and wine, assisting special events and order processing.

 

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customer service, retail sales, wine industry, hospitality, team management, public relations, marketing, or teaching and educating others experience.
  • Knowledge of wine and wine production.
  • Knowledge of federal and state legal compliance related to tasting room operations.
