As a Senior Mulesoft Data Engineer you will transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed and deploys data products in a multiplatform ecosystem.  You will develop, maintain, and test data pipelines for data generation. Scales computational environments, establish cloud infrastructure and design across the development team as well as inform, develop, and deploy microservices and scale data science models. Identifies opportunities for improvement and recommends solutions.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Creates ETLs (Extract Transform Load), validates, and supports data movement.
  • Assembles large complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
  • Identifies, initiates, designs and implements internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes.
  • Builds required pipeline for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using ANSI SQL technologies.
  • Builds analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition.
  • Works with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
  • Identifies and builds large data sets to address business needs.
  • Deploys sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods .
  • Prepares data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
  • Containerize workloads by processing to be used by a receiving system allowing for more isolated workloads, to increase quality and decrease conflicts between job requirements.
  • Builds and optimizes data sets, 'big data' data pipelines and architectures.
  • Performs root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions that arise.
  • Builds processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata.
  • Provides direction to junior team members and requires minimal direction from Sr team members.
  • Recommends solutions within Gallo practices to partners to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Recognizes patterns in data and collaborates with Gallo partners to set up alerts and fix problems as they arise.
  • Uses data to identify existing tasks that can be automated.
  • Influences enterprise data practices.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, Economics, or Physics plus 2 years experience working in a product or platform development environment; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or Data Sciences, Economics, or Physics plus 4 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience designing, building, testing, and deploying solutions on the Mulesoft AnyPoint Platform.
  • 4 years of development experience in Java/J2EE/JSE frameworks.
  • Experience creating/managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Development experience with API’s (REST/SOAP).
  • Familiar with at least 2 of the following database technologies: Oracle, Hana, MsSQL, Postgres, Neo4J, RedShift, SQL Server.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions.
  • Experience building processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency and metadata.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and ITSM processes such as incident, problem, change management, and project development content.

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Data Sciences, Economics, or Physics plus 4 years of experience working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or Data Sciences, Economics, or Physics plus 6 years of working in a product or platform development environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Mulesoft Developer Certifications.
  • Experience building integrations between Salesforce (Sales, Service, Commerce Cloud) and SAP.
  • Experience building and optimizing ETL and ESB solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills associated with working on datasets.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range: $87,550 - $154,400  
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
