Are you passionate about winemaking and eager to contribute to the production of world-class wines? We are seeking a dedicated Winemaking Technician to join our team. Under general supervision, you will participate in complex phases of the winemaking process, ensuring the care, maintenance, and sanitation of all equipment and facilities. Adhering to all safety procedures and supporting quality and GMP standards will be paramount in this role.
As a Winemaking Technician, you will operate grape receiving equipment for both white and red grapes, and clean press equipment to maintain optimal conditions. You will ensure that all additions to juice or wine are made accurately according to work orders, complete juice racking, and conduct red fermentation processes per standard operating procedures and daily fermentation logs. Your responsibilities will also include performing barrel fills, topping, SO2 addition, ingredient additions, and managing barrel in-and-out duties.
In addition to winemaking tasks, you will handle wine receiving and shipping activities, set up and operate filtration processes, and ensure accurate barrel scanning and recordkeeping. You will also assist on the bottling line when needed and drive a forklift to operate warehouse systems.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of wine production experience or 4 years of Wine Production exp.

May be required to work a rotating shift/schedule (e.g., day, swing, graveyard, 5x8, 4x10) as well as weekends and overtime.

Required to stand for the duration of shift (8-12 hours excluding breaks and lunch).

Required to be physically capable of executing any job tasks within the bottling room or cellar.
-
Required to wear a respirator, when necessary.

Required to undertake forklift certification onsite.

Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

Required to work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Required to comply with company GMP Policies.

Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

Set rate listed as $25.24 - $34.09/hour.

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
