Under general supervision, performs batch processing and lab analysis of alcoholic beverages and other related materials to ensure systems and procedures are followed. Participates in the care, maintenance and sanitation of all facility equipment. Adheres to all safety procedures, supports quality and GMP standards.

Essential Functions

  • Accepts and verifies incoming bulk tankers, and unloads tanker in a timely manner.
  • Prepares batches and maintains accurate batch records.
  • Performs sanitation of all tanks, vessels, and equipment used in processing.
  • Operates laboratory instruments as required to perform basic lab duties.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate inventory records, updating records daily or as needed.
  • Maintains processing equipment, including calibrations, log entries, and cleaning of items such as tanks, hoses, and other equipment.
  • Collects samples of in-process batches and raw materials for testing by the Laboratory Technician.
  • Operates stand up and sit down forklifts as well as manual and electric pallet jacks.
  • Performs other work related duties as assigned by the Manager including, but not limited to, sampling, cleaning, record keeping and special projects.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality issues as they relate to batch processing.
  • Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and productive manner.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certification plus 2 year of manufacturing or production processing experience; OR 4 years of manufacturing of production processing experience.
  • Required to be 18 years of age or older.
  • Required to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
  • Required to work overtime when necessary.
  • Must become standup and sit down forklift certified and electric pallet jack certified shortly upon hire.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers or fractions.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Required to comply with company GMP Policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 year of manufacturing or production processing experience.
  • Beverage production processing experience.
  • Experience showing versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
  • Experience in using a computer.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Experience understanding and following written and verbal instructions.
  • Skilled in written and oral communication.

This position is required to climb ladders and lift and carry up to 60 pounds

Work is performed in the laboratory or plant environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to the following: exposure to dust, fumes, smoke, gases, or other irritating substances. Exposure to solvents or chemicals. Exposure to slippery walking surfaces: water. Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity depending on time of year. Working surface is primarily concrete. The employee is frequently exposed to working at elevate heights; moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. Exposure to various weather element when outside unloading bulk trailers and tankers. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
