A Taste of What You'll Do
Join GALLO as a Sales Specialist - New Business and play a key role in growing our Ready To Drink (RTD), beer, and new brand portfolios by winning retailer and on-premise advocates through the “6th Standards.” You will focus on targeted markets and accounts, execute blitz-style sales campaigns, and drive shelf, cold box, menu placement, POS, and SRP programs that build brand recognition and commercial support. Working alongside embedded sales teams, you’ll lead product demos where legal, support brand education, and help shape compelling sales presentations that convert opportunities into lasting distribution.
You’ll manage individual account goals, track and measure sales calls, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify opportunities and solve problems. Success in this role requires confident sales execution, strong communication, and the ability to influence retailer and buyer decisions while representing GALLO’s quality standards and vision across channels. What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of Gallo Winery sales or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of winery sales, distiller sales, distributor sales, direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of winery sales, distiller sales, distributor sales direct to consumer marketing, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Required to travel by air, car, and or train up to 75% during the course of business.
- Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include evenings and weekends.
- Require to obtain a liquor license as required by state/locally.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo Winery sales or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales or marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience addressing customer needs a primary focus of one’s actions; experience building positive relationships with customers (translates as both internal and external).
- Skilled in seeing, smelling and tasting Spirits as part of Spirits tasting.
