Are you a detail-oriented, organized, and multi-tasking professional with a passion for training and development in the field sales environment? We are seeking a Training Coordinator to join our team, providing direct services and training support to field sales. In this role, you will implement sales training programs for winery and distributor sales forces within an assigned distributor management area. You will maintain a strong presence with distributors, facilitating end-to-end training for winery and distributor employees, and help manage relationships within distributor teams to foster continued business development opportunities for the winery.

 

Your responsibilities will include providing on-the-job training for new sales employees, representatives, and merchandisers, and maintaining communication with Sales Management and the Director of US Sales Training. You will train, develop, and coach new District Managers and Key Account Managers, and deliver training within the distributors for high-potential employees. By driving the participation and adoption of Gallo U training programs, you will ensure that the winery sales area and local distributors are aligned with corporate training curriculums.

 

You will collaborate with other training colleagues to develop new offerings in the sales training curriculum and track training metrics related to utilization, effectiveness, and spend. Identifying employee needs and adjusting training curriculums as necessary, you will monitor local training opportunities and refer employees to appropriate developmental resources. Your role will also involve assisting in the selection of instructional methods, evaluating training effectiveness, and organizing training manuals and other educational materials.

 

As a Gallo Ambassador, you will advocate for our brands, host events, and leverage social media to promote Gallo sales within your community. You will strategically focus your time on the biggest opportunities to maximize sales and grow Gallo brands, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of sales training programs. Representing sales training on interdepartmental teams, you will work cross-functionally to improve processes and maintain knowledge of technology programs to effectively leverage media in training.

What You Will Need:

 

 

 

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate AND Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo/distributor sales experience; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of external selling experience.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to obtain liquor license as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 75% during the course of business
  • Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform product tastings as part of job functions.
  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

 

 

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $72,900.00 -$121,600.00 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
