A Taste of What You'll Do
We’re hiring a Director of Paid Media to set standards of media excellence and lead the strategy, execution, and partnerships that accelerate GALLO’s new media vision. You will manage multi-million-dollar media investments, guide agency and technology partner relationships (Google, Meta, X, Snap, Pinterest and more), and champion integrated paid media across search, paid social, marketplaces, commerce, and CRM to drive measurable business outcomes.
You will build and scale a test-and-learn culture by advancing measurement, leveraging AI-driven tools, and embedding data-informed audience strategies into precision activation. Working closely with insights, analytics, social, PR, creative, and commerce teams, you’ll translate audience segmentation into personalized messaging and performance plans, evaluate nontraditional media opportunities, and secure leadership buy-in for full-cycle paid media initiatives.
This role requires a strategic operator who can simplify complexity, influence cross-functional partners, and evolve systems, policies, and best practices for buying media online and offline. You’ll coach and grow a high-performing team, nurture publisher and technology relationships to win innovative programs and competitive terms, and steward enterprise-level processes that maximize return while protecting brand standards. What You'll Need
- Master’s degree plus 8 years of public relations, media, creative agency, brand/corporate communications, sales, or brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of experience in media areas, media strategy, brand marketing, or growth marketing with experience in managing substantial media budgets.
- Experience working with Media agencies
- Deep expertise in upper and mid funnel media planning (video, CTV, audio, OOH, partnerships, digital media.
- Experience managing large multi-channel paid media campaigns that deliver a cohesive brand experience.
- Leadership experience managing and developing high performing teams across media strategy and analytics.
- Experience leading the dialogue and negotiations with the heads of media properties
- Experience managing and negotiating contracts with external vendors.
- Required to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out
- Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing plus 12 years of agency management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing plus 14 media areas, media strategy, brand marketing, or growth marketing with experience in managing substantial media budgets.
- Experience working in an eCommerce/DTC company
- Exceptional proficiency and ability to work with and analyze large data sets accurately and efficiently.
- Knowledge of both federal and state laws as it relates to alcohol beverage promotions.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills; ability to influence executives and cross functional partners.
- Experience demonstrating team building, leadership and mentoring skills.
