SENIOR RANCH LEADER - NAPA COUNTY - Pope and Chiles Valley

 

Are you passionate about leading and developing a dynamic team in the viticulture industry? 

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative leader to join our team and drive excellence in vineyard management and farming techniques. In this role, you will lead a diverse group of individuals with varying levels of experience and education, ensuring high-quality performance and exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining operational budgets, ensuring adherence to safety measures, and advancing viticulture techniques.

 

As a leader, you will communicate and interpret organizational directives to align team and individual objectives. You will supervise daily work scheduling, employee assignments, and act as a liaison within the organization. Your role will include providing input on team member performance, facilitating team meetings, and managing short-term projects. You will also be responsible for conducting presentations and formal training programs, ensuring a safe working environment, and achieving set goals and timelines.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of ranch operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibly; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus 8 years of ranch operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Required to travel to various company owned ranches along the coast (to include extended hours, weekend and late night assignments).

  • Required to possess or obtain a California Pest Control License or Applicator License.

  • Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $93,300 -$139,900 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
