The VIP Client Services is responsible for driving new customers to Pahlmeyer by establishing relationships and networking with local concierges and other Hospitality service provider as well as providing high-quality, VIP consumer experiences for existing Pahlmeyer clients under the direction of the VIP Client Services Lead.

What You Will Do:

  • Implementation of new consumer experiences for VIP-level Pahlmeyer clients which align with brand essence.
  • Hosts and assists with VIP clients at Pahlmeyer wine tastings across a variety of locations, i.e. local vineyards, hotels, private residents, remote events, and personal/ customized client gatherings (per guidelines as determined by the company).
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding Pahlmeyer wines.
  • Works with VIP Client Services Lead to follow networking leads to secure an ever-growing databaseof VIP Pahlmeyer customers.
  • Maintains, develop and increases knowledge of local concierge services offered by wineries and hospitality services (transportation, hotels, tour guides, restaurants, etc.) in the North Coast to explorepartnerships as well as to maintain a competitive position in the luxury wine market.
  • Recommends and obtains authorization for product allocations and customer service standards in order to maintain VIP relationships and create long term membership tenure with top customers.
  • Responsible for building your own book of business supporting VIP client services and luxury brands.
  • Partners with VIP Client Services Lead and Identifies innovative ways to drive luxury business both within Pahlmeyer brand and across other luxury Gallo brands.
  • Supports cross-functional partners with Winemaking and vineyard teams for VIP estate tastings.
  • Partners with National Sales team, following up on VIP customer leads as directed.
  • Participates in Pahlmeyer and Jayson by Pahlmeyer consumer facing public and private events as assigned.
  • Supports Pahlmeyer Outbound Sales function by following up on VIP leads from all sales channels including referrals, cart drops and new mailing list signups.
  • Serves as primary contact for Pahlmeyer VIP consumer experiences in the absences of the VIP ClientServices Lead.
  • Responsible for Pahlmeyer guest safety during and after Pahlmeyer estate tasting experiences. Also responsible for set up/ clean up for all Pahlmeyer VIP tastings hosted on-site.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of business to consumer or business to business customer service, marketing, hospitality, or retail/on premise sales with luxury-level products or services; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of business to consumer or business to business customer service, marketing, hospitality, or retail/on premise sales with luxury-level productsor services reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Event Planning experience.
  • Required to travel by automobile and plane 30% of the time in order to conduct job duties.
  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to be available to work hours between 8 am and 6 pm Monday through Saturday.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of business to consumer or business to business customer service, marketing, hospitality, or retail/on premise sales with luxury-level products or services.
  • Experience responding to the public on behalf of a company, its products and brands.
  • Luxury wine industry experience.
  • Experience of hospitality industry/ networking ability within the Napa Valley or other wine region.
  • WSET, CSW, Certified Sommelier or equivalent certification.
  • Skilled in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers,clients, customers and the general public.
