As a Training Team Leader in operations you will be responsible for delivering technical, interpersonal, and in-depth training programs in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain for individuals and teams. You will utilize Lean methodologies and tools to continuously improve business processes and drive out waste. You will maintain a broad influence on the organization both cross-shift and cross-functionally in helping to manage the business and drive improved performance.
What You Will Do

Education and Training

  • Works in conjunction with Modesto operations training leadership to develop training materials
  • Oversees training reports and educational documents ensuring objectives are met
  • Establishes and maintains robust education and training evaluation and measurement practices
  • Supports continuous and ongoing training/coaching for employees as needed
  • Compiles data relating to training programs, materials, or trends
  • Supports site training assessments, audits of training and SOP compliance
  • Drives the execution of training-specific projects; determination of knowledge/skill gaps
  • Identifies and suggests ways to improve/streamline processes

Leadership Development

  • Supports the development of team members by analyzing and improving external training programs as needed.
  • Supports the development of departments, individuals and teams.
  • Provides training to team members with varying levels of experience and education.
  • You will execute training programs within cost parameters and customer expectations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Develops and delivers formal training programs for audiences of varying levels of sophistication; training programs covering specified areas such as equipment, technology, processes, procedures and specifications.
  • Conducts training needs analyses to determine specific program requirements
  • Champion the 4E’s (Engages, Enlists, Envisions, and Executes)
  • Works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization
  • Support Lean Enterprise and Kaizen teams

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of production, operations, or logistics management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of military operations and leadership experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of production, operations, or logistics management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to possess supervisor or manager experience.
  • Required to work day, swing or graveyard shifts as scheduled.
  • Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration plus 5 years of manufacturing operations management, or logistics operations management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • MBA or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
