A Taste of What You'll Do

As a Trademark Assistant 1, you’ll play an important role supporting the Legal Department’s Trademark Team by ensuring the accurate handling and organization of trademark information across both domestic and international portfolios. Working under direct supervision, you’ll provide essential administrative and clerical support that helps protect and manage the company’s valuable intellectual property assets.

In this role, you’ll spend your days maintaining electronic trademark files, running docket reports, scanning and organizing registration and renewal documents, and assisting with the creation of new trademark prosecution and enforcement files. You’ll collaborate closely with team members and serve as an administrative liaison, helping ensure information flows smoothly and deadlines are met.

You’ll also support daily operations through a variety of administrative tasks, including correspondence, invoice processing, report generation, and maintaining procedures and lists. Your attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and commitment to accuracy will be key to your success.

This role is well suited for someone who enjoys structured work, values precision, and takes pride in supporting a collaborative legal team. What You'll Need

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of legal experience; or an Associate’s degree.

• Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook at a basic level.

• Required to use discretion when dealing with confidential information.

• Extremely detail orientated, focus on data entry accuracy.

• Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

• Skilled in writing simple correspondence.

• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.

• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
 

How You'll Stand Out

• Associate’s degree plus 2 years of legal experience; OR Bachelor's degree.

• Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures with strong organizational skills.

• Excellent telephone skills and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience working independently while exercising discretion and confidentiality.
