A Taste of What You'll Do

Join GALLO’s Technical Management Development Program geared toward engineering students to gain hands-on experience across engineering, operations, manufacturing, and technical business functions. In this rotational program, you’ll apply your engineering education to real business challenges while learning how our teams bring products, processes, and innovation to life across the organization.

 

You’ll have the opportunity to rotate through areas such as winery operations, packaging, bottling, cellar operations, capital projects, reliability maintenance, process technology, quality, IT, data science, and Lean Six Sigma. Along the way, you’ll build practical skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and collaborate with leaders and mentors who support your growth.

 

This role is designed for curious, adaptable problem solvers who are ready to learn, take ownership, and make an impact. Rotation locations may vary, and moving may be necessary to fully participate in the program. You’ll be assigned an initial role and will have input into future rotations as you continue developing toward independent responsibility within an engineering or operations discipline.

What You'll Need

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university working towards an Engineering or Engineering Management degree; OR Bachelor’s degree or Masters in engineering and previous engineering internship or Gallo internship experience, including Cultivate Internship Program.
  • Understands basic engineering and can follow standard work to achieve goals.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.
  • Availability to work at different sites or locations throughout program rotations; moving may be necessary to fulfill the role.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You'll Stand Out

  • Demonstrated Leadership skills and strong enlisting and engaging skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience in one of the following areas: CPG Manufacturing Systems (Filling, Labeling, Packaging, etc.); Winery Manufacturing Systems (Fermentation, Piping, Filtration, etc.); Project Management; Agricultural Equipment and Infrastructure Systems (irrigation, site grading, drainage, etc.); Glass Manufacturing Systems; R&D stage gate process (carrying out lab-pilot-production trials and scale-up projects related to new processes/products); Wine/Sprits/beverages knowledge (Fermentation Science, Separations, winery processes, wine chemistry, new product development/innovation, food safety, HAACP.

The Fine Print

  • The Company does not sponsor for employment-based visas for this position now or in the future.
  • We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
  • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
