Summary:

 

Develops the strategic vision of achieving full integration of insights into the go-to-market plans and initiatives for key brands, portfolio programs, and category growth. Leads the translation, communication, and activation of all types of insights (consumer, shopper, product) for their focus area of the marketing organization including brand, sales, commerce, and innovation. Leverages custom and syndicated, qualitative, and quantitative research initiatives to identify insights which shape business decisions. Champions consumer and shopper understanding across the enterprise by integrating insights from all internal and external data sources to provide strategic thought leadership for existing & new business. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Responsible for developing compelling stories about the consumer, shopper, product and marketplace with clear business implications from a range of data sources which are used throughout the end-to-end marketing organization. Serves as a consumer-centric and solutions-oriented thought-leader, connector of ideas, and strategic partner to leadership throughout the end to end marketing organization.
  • Develops relationships to be engrained within the organization to identify and address business issues and works cross-functionally to find solutions to those issues (reaching across Insights, the Office of the CMO, Business Units, and the Sales organizations, etc.).
  • Interfaces with business and enterprise leadership to define and deliver the learning agenda. Identifies and defines the brand specific learning agenda for the coming year. Partners with Foundation Insights and Advanced Analytics to integrate brand specific learning agendas into corporate learning plans for the coming year.
  • Works cross-functionally and within Knowledge Center of Excellence to inform and influence corporate learning agenda. 
  • Partners closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the consumer and shopper is first and forward in our strategy and activation. 
  • Acts as a leader in the integrated marketing planning process by partnering cross functionally to deliver meaningful brand experiences and activation at retail that connects shoppers to our brands, and builds the category. 
  • Develops and nurtures enterprise-wide consumer and shopper empathy. Develops and mentors insights, research, analytics, and sales and marketing colleagues to develop functional and practical consumer and marketplace insights expertise. 
  • Ensures that distinctive, compelling, relevant and actionable consumer, marketplace, and product insights are socialized to inform initiative development. 
  • Delivers insights, presentations and facilitates workshops for a range of audiences by transforming relevant trends, business results, competitive performance, and brand and category research into meaningful implications for the business.
  • Responsible for translating business questions into research objectives, overseeing, executing, and delivering customer consumer and shopper research. Ensures measurement results are shared and incorporated into corporate learning.
  • Represents the "voice of the consumer/shopper" in the initiative development process. 
  • Partners with Advanced Analytics and other cross functional teams to conduct effectiveness measurement, consumer learning post-mortems, and refresh learning agenda accordingly.
  • Authors compelling insights-based stories and narratives which impact business decisions for internal and external influence. 
  • Acts as a leader within the Knowledge Center of Excellence, developing talent, cultivating a culture of curiosity and business impact, and contributing to continuous improvement. 
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s Degree plus 6 years of marketing research and data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of marketing research and data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of marketing research and data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. 
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects with senior management and project members.
  • Ability to tell a story using data from primary, secondary and third-party data sources. 
  • Experience conducting market research for a consumer-driven organization. 
  • Computer skills requirements include: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS PowerPoint. 
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 50% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Master’s Degree plus 10 years of marketing research and data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of marketing research and data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience in the Alcohol Beverage industry. 
  • Experience integrating insights into business decisions in multiple industries. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing stories out of consumer, products, shopper, and marketplace data.
  • Background in creative development/ graphics design, agency side experience (planning, strategy, art direction, copy writing).
  • Marketing, Sales, consumer/product understanding, or new product development experience. 
  • Experience with defining problems, research design, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Experience with taking ideas from conception to market. 
  • Leadership/ active member role in development of brand architecture for new/existing brands. 
  • Experience moderating qualitative discussions. 
  • Knowledge of Product development, sensory sciences, and product testing.
  • Skilled in the use of Statistical Analysis Software (SAS, SPSS) and R or Python. 
  • Skilled in applying mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range: $143,500 - $215,300/Year
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
