This position can be done remotely in the following cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.  Please note one week travel to Modesto, CA along with additional days travel in market a month are requirements under these remote working accommodations.

 

Summary

 

Manages multiple brand-building initiatives that will have significant business impact in leading the implementation of strategic marketing objectives for New, Core, or Drive brands (e.g. new product launches, cost savings, brand repositioning, etc.). Manages multiple marketing platforms ensuring alignment with brand objectives. Maintains complete responsibility for the business review for assigned brands; ensuring marketing plans are consistent with the company’s growth and profit objectives.

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Maintains a consistent understanding and mastery of business drivers and growth opportunities for your assigned brand(s) and develop strategies to address in an omni-channel environment.
  • Analyze business on a monthly basis to uncover and activate against business drivers
  • Works with key SME teams to develop strategies to address business drivers and growth opportunities
  • Observes and analyzes new trends and competitive activities to seek out innovative ways to build marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participates in identifying optimal account target based on a brand’s consumer target and positioning.
  • Recommends new trends and competitive activities to seek out innovative ways to build channel effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Communicate strategies to cross functional partners & leadership on a planned and ad-hoc basis
  • Lead cross functional teams to drive portions of a project/plan.
  • Participates in the Scrum/Agile process.  
  • Oversees the work of outside agencies.
  • Leads the I2M process for the Brand team in coordination with the scrum teams.
  • Lead development of areas within the IMP
  • Delivers annual Business Review for assigned brand(s) Develop Brand Plans
  • Contributes to develop OGSM brand level strategies/platforms
  • Writes activation briefs
  • Tracks and updates A&P budget for assigned brand(s).
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

  • Master’s degree plus 4 years of communications, finance, marketing, military, operations, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of communications, finance, marketing, military, operations, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.
  • Required to spend 25% of time traveling in-market and non-headquarter based employees required to spend 50% of time traveling in-market & to company headquarters in order to conduct job duties. 
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

 

  • Master of Business Administration degree plus 7 years of Gallo brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to travel up to 60% of the time in order to conduct job duties.
  • Multiple Gallo marketing rotations.
  • Brand Marketing experience.
  • Experience training and developing junior level brand marketers in executing brand and organizational objectives.
  • Experience managing business operations and leveraging basic finance and accounting principles.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
  • Experience writing speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience performing work that is complex and varied in nature, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS database at an intermediate level; IRI, Brio and Spectra at a basic level.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range: $105,400 - $158,000/Year
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
