We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Lab Technician Sr. In this role, you will perform physical, microbiological, and chemical analyses of alcoholic beverages, grapes, grape products, water, and other related materials. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining quality control, environmental monitoring, and the overall evaluation of our products and processes.
As a Lab Technician Sr., you will support various microbiological analyses and preparations, ensuring the highest standards of sanitation and quality. You will conduct a broad range of tests using advanced equipment like auto-titrators, refractometers, densitometers, gas chromatographs, infrared analyzers, and spectrophotometers. Your keen eye for detail will aid in evaluating laboratory quality control data, performing instrument calibration, and troubleshooting any issues that arise.
our contributions will extend beyond routine tasks. You will engage in method development, suggest improvements to laboratory practices, and participate in the onboarding and training of new laboratory personnel. When lab supervisors are unavailable, you will provide support and direction to your team, ensuring seamless operations. Your commitment to quality and customer service will be evident as you work independently, adhering to our ISO 17025-compliant quality management system.
In this role, you will also play a crucial part in maintaining a safe and orderly work environment, managing laboratory supply inventory, and supporting new equipment installation activities. By practicing safe work habits and maintaining accurate records, you will ensure the reliability and traceability of our data.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree with a combined 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology plus 2 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years or 6 seasons of paid laboratory experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibilities; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 20 college coursework units of chemistry, biology, and/or microbiology plus 4 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary

- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. What Will Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or Biochemistry plus 4 years of chemistry/microbiology laboratory experience.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong instrument troubleshooting, maintenance and repair skills.
- Experience working in an ISO:17025 accredited laboratory
- Experience implementing or sustaining laboratory quality assurance practices including corrective/preventive action, document control, training records management, control charting, and internal auditing.
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Skilled in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
- Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Compensation
- Set rate listed as $27.16 - $36.68 / hour
