As the Senior Information Services Director you will establish and administer the overall planning, acquisition, development and delivery of new and existing business applications/systems to support the business needs of internal customers. You will execute the strategic and operational initiatives for planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the information services infrastructure.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Oversees the planning and development of new and existing business applications/systems including, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintenance and installation.
  • Ensures that relevant considerations are included in the design and operation.
  • Manages the analysis of detailed specifications and business requirements.
  • Delivers strategic and operational direction for planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's information technology infrastructure.
  • Achieves business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IS initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IS systems across the organization.
  • Consults and interfaces with information systems personnel, vendors, customers and management in coordinating hardware, software and system capabilities.
  • Develops and recommends changes to systems, policies and procedures; ensures timely and accurate implementation.
  • Directs the evaluation of systems/technology of internal customers.
  • Ensures that IS support activities are monitored, logged, tracked, and resolved appropriately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of technological changes and innovations in the information business applications/systems field and provides technical support and direction.
  • Ensures the development, creation and presentation of key sales and marketing analysis and reporting to customers.
  • Leads team members in, educating users in existing and cutting edge uses of sales data, analysis tools and other data resources.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within agreed upon timeframe for delivery to the customer.
  • Collaborates with team members to adopt new technologies and industry best practices to better perform their job function and to support their customer base.
  • Implements a successful vision/strategy, through strong leadership skills.
  • Drives and influences strategies across functions to shape ideas of executives and customers.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental planning and management teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Develops, tracks and controls the information technology application capital budgets.
  • Establishes and communicates departmental performance objectives and metrics, and ensures alignment with business plan.
  • Monitors and ensures achievement of performance goals and objectives either directly or through subordinate staff.
  • Balances planning efforts with day to day demands.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.
  • If accountable for the work of others, conducts performance evaluations; reviews and communicates salary adjustments; rewards employees or takes disciplinary action, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.

 

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 12 years of corporate information systems or business analytics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility or Master’s degree plus 10 years of corporate information systems or business analytics experience to include management or leadership experience.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level.
  • Project management experience.

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems plus 14 years of corporate systems, ERP, and HCM reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include 5 years of management or leadership experience.
  • MBA/Master's degree.
  • Experience with corporate financial accounting processes, such as revenue recognition, cost accounting, procurement, fixed asset management, expense management, etc. and their implementation within an ERP.
  • Experience with corporate human resources processes and their implementation within systems.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, project gating, resource allocation, quality and financial principles and applies them to analyze the planned activities.
  • Skilled in statistical analysis/problem solving.
  • Experience leading and directing a change process.
  • Experience communicating with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing the winery’s goals.
  • Experience influencing, negotiating and resolving conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.
  • Experience being pro-active, analytical and process driven with a strong focus on understanding and exceeding the expectations of the customer.
  • Comprehends and applies principles of advanced calculus, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory.
  • Experience working with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
  • Skilled in applying principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
  • Skilled in dealing with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases.
  • Skilled in dealing with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
