As a Senior Accountant, you will manage critical accounting functions, from establishing business units and tables of accounts to preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. You will be responsible for analyzing financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable GAAP principles. Your role will also include coordinating accounting matters across the organization, advising on financial status, and enhancing accounting systems and procedures using current technology. What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of accounting, finance, audit economics, statistics or mathematics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, or Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo finance, accounting, audit, economics, statistics or mathematics experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of public audit or accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Computer skill requirements include: Intermediate MS Word, Excel; basic PowerPoint.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
- MBA or Master’s degree in Accounting plus 4 years of Finance or Accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus 6 years of Finance or Accounting experience including experience in Public Accounting firm reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- CPA license.
- Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures in the accounting field of specialization.
- Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional and technical journals and financial reports. Skilled in responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Skilled in effectively present information to top management, clients and customers.
- Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions. Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and dealing with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Skilled in applying mathematical operations to such tasks as determination of reliability and validity, variance and trend analysis techniques.
- Skilled in completing assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity, with appreciable latitude for actions and decisions.
