Part time position

Location:  Must be willing and able to be based in Modesto, CA and working onsite at our Modesto location. 

 

 

A Taste of What You’ll Do

Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and energized by supporting teams behind the scenes? As a Samples Shipping Assistant at GALLO, you'll play an important role in helping Brand Teams deliver products to internal and external partners by preparing, packaging, shipping, and tracking samples with accuracy and efficiency. Your work will help ensure samples arrive on time, records remain accurate, and stakeholders stay informed throughout the shipping process.

 

In this role, you'll collaborate with Product Development, inventory teams, and shipping partners to fulfill sample requests, maintain shipment documentation, and monitor delivery status. You'll use shipping systems and tracking tools to create labels, process shipments, and support day-to-day fulfillment activities while following established procedures and carrier requirements.

You'll help maintain shipping supplies, support inventory-related sample requests, communicate status updates, and contribute to a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment. What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus experience in shipping, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, or administrative support.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping, logistics, inventory management, or order fulfillment processes.
  • Ability to use shipping software and carrier systems to generate labels and track shipments.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and shipment documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard business systems.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions.
  • Required to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to frequently package, transport, and organize product samples and shipping materials.
  • Required to operate standard office equipment and label printing equipment.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

How You’ll Stand Out

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, inventory management, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, or administrative support.
  • Experience utilizing Shippo or similar shipping management software.
  • Experience coordinating shipments through UPS, FedEx, USPS, or comparable carriers.
  • Experience using inventory management, order fulfillment, or sample request systems.
  • Experience working in a consumer products, beverage, manufacturing, product development, or distribution environment.
  • Experience operating Zebra label printers or similar shipping equipment.

The Fine Print

  • The Company does not sponsor for employment-based visas for this position now or in the future.
  • We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
  • This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on-site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
