A Taste of What You’ll Do
Are you an experienced forklift operator with a passion for teamwork and safety? Join us as a Senior Forklift Driver at GALLO, where you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Modesto campus operations. As part of our dynamic and inclusive team, you’ll handle essential tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, delivering materials across campus, and managing hazardous waste pallets—all while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
In this role, you’ll operate clamp and forklift equipment to provide seamless logistical support across departments, including delivering wine orders, glass pallets, and recycled materials. Your expertise in warehouse management systems will ensure accurate tracking and delivery, while your problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement will help drive our LEAN initiatives forward. What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate, plus 4 years previous forklift and/or clamp lift experience, or 3 years Gallo experience driving a forklift.
- Required to obtain IVES forklift certification upon hire (various class certification).
- Must be proficient in the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and clamp lifts.
- Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Understanding and capable of using IOS devices (iPad and/or iPhone).
- Required to lift, push, pull or move up to 50 lbs.
- Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
- Skilled in problem solving/analysis.
- Possess strong oral/written communication skills.
- Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions in a one-on-one and small group situations to various levels of internal customers and other employees of the organization.
- Skilled in customer service.
- Must possess good organization of records and strong records keeping skills.
- Required to participate in and complete Gallo Safety Awareness training.
- Experience reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Experience working on a team and independently.
- Ability to become certified to handle HazMat material and Hazardous Waste material.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You’ll Stand Out
