We are seeking a passionate and innovative individual to conceptualize and execute research projects that result in the creation of new or enhanced wine, spirit, and malt-based beverages. In this dynamic role, you will manage complex, strategic, cross-functional projects alongside senior management and develop and implement product portfolio strategies, style targets, and assessments across multiple areas. Your expertise in exploring, identifying, and implementing new technologies will be key to driving process improvements and efficiencies in our business.
As part of our team, you will develop annual consumer and product insights plans for product development, quality assurance, process technology, and winemaking. You will conduct and support complex research in collaboration with Consumer Insights, Marketing, Product Development, and Winemaking partners, ensuring alignment with corporate strategies and resource limitations. Your role will involve conducting and monitoring flavor stability and long-term beverage stability evaluations, maintaining and enhancing supplier relationships, and screening and selecting flavors and ingredients for beverage formulation. You will also support research and development initiatives, including tool development, ingredients, processing technology, and packaging, and recommend and implement methods from the consumer packaged goods industry into our business.

What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate and Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering plus 1 year of experience in beverage production, product development or research experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
- Required to possess the physical ability to discriminate basic tastes, aromas, and visual colors.
- Required to be 21 years of age or older.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering plus 3 years of beverage production, product development or research and development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Skilled in responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Skilled in effectively preparing and presenting information to core teams and their management.
- Computer skills include: Intermediate MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Experience with using Statistical Analysis Software (SAS, SPSS).
- Understanding of statistics, DOE and mathematical operations required for product development activities.
- Experience with defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Skilled in thinking strategically and transforming ideas into logical business applications.
- Knowledge in area of specialization (sensory, consumer research and product development) to completion of assignments.
- Experience working within teams within the company.
Compensation
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $68,700-$85,900/ yearly
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
