Join Our Team as a Platform Developer Supporting HR
Are you passionate about developing innovative technical solutions and eager to make a significant impact within an HR Organization? We are seeking a Platform Developer to take on the challenge of designing, developing, and implementing customizations and applications that meet the diverse needs of our business. You'll work closely with Platform Administrators, Business Relationship Managers, and other team members to provide top-notch solutions that support our dynamic HR environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating new functionalities, modifying existing applications, and ensuring robust quality assurance practices. Utilizing industry best practices and advanced methodologies, including Scrum techniques, you'll address system requirements, business processes, and evolving technology environments. Your ability to execute business requirements, identify risks, and perform root cause analysis will be crucial in delivering IT services that meet expectations and integrate seamlessly with other IT services.
As a key player in our team, you will contribute to planning and preparing documentation, providing training and support for designated customers, and leading projects. You'll ensure that all development activities meet budget and schedule commitments while maintaining performance measurements across the portfolio, including development, delivery, operations, SLAs, and customer service.
We are looking for someone who understands the capabilities and constraints of the platform and can maximize their value in our applications and tools. Your insights into the business areas supported will help you determine specific output requirements and report formats, supporting multiple business areas. You'll actively identify system and process improvement opportunities and contribute to improvement projects, all while working with a moderate level of guidance and direction.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of IT experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Math, Systems Engineering, or Data Sciences plus 1 year of IT experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of IT experience.
- Experience developing platform products.
- Experience with Web Development (ie. html, javascript, css), Object Oriented Programming, Continuous Integration Software Development process, Data Modeling/Management, Change Management
- Competency with REST/SOAP API functions .
- Knowledge of latest integration technologies available between applications and platforms.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and ITSM processes such as incident, problem, change management, and project development content.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of IT experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Math, or Systems Engineering plus 3 year of IT experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of IT experience.
- Demonstrates the ability to lead projects.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and lead others.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analysis techniques.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Highly proficient in basic office applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- MicroStrategy Developer certification or equivalent.
- Experience leading BI development projects including design, build, test, train and deploy.
- Experience with MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects, or Oracle Analytics. Database platforms such as Netezza, HANA, Snowflake, Oracle, or SQL server.
- Experience designing and developing dashboards and reports with BI Tools.
- Familiarity with most HR processes such as onboarding, recruiting, performance & goals, succession & development, learning, and compensation.
- Experience with configuring HR IT applications and platforms supporting entire HR lifecycle management.
- Experience with developing integrations to and from the platforms.
- Understanding of APIs, SQL databases, and data exports/imports into the HR platform applications as well as other integration options.
- Understanding of common programming languages used for API development (such as Python or nodeJS)

Compensation:
- Hiring Salary Range Posted: $38.94 - $58.46 hourly
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
