Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for marketing analytics? Join our team as a Marketing Analyst, where you will play a critical role in supporting the marketing of Gallo brands through comprehensive reporting and analysis. By providing key business insights and supporting data points, you will empower our marketers to make informed business decisions during pre-planning meetings.

 

As a Marketing Analyst, you will conduct in-depth analyses and research from various sources, focusing on areas such as sales and marketing promotions, annual business reviews, shipments and depletions, and competitor analysis. You will identify trends and opportunities, prepare detailed work plans and schedules, and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and insights to brand marketers and the Leadership team.

 

Your role involves analyzing general market and specific business condition trends to support current and future business decisions. You will provide recommendations to brand managers regarding Brand Programming and make necessary adjustments based on your analysis. Supporting the reporting and analysis of current market trends, key data elements, and data mining, you will contribute to the Annual NSM, LMP, and Business Review Process.

 

You will engage in pricing analysis, making recommendations or adjustments as needed. Actively participating in monthly demand and Executive Review meetings, you will provide insights on field and Business Unit activities that affect the business. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimization will be essential to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of sales/marketing analysis, corporate financial analysis, brand marketing experience, or CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo experience to include business analytics or data analysis reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of sales/marketing analysis, corporate financial analysis, brand marketing experience, or CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience with MS Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

 

How You'll Stand Out

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 5 years of brand marketing analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Preferred computer skills include: Advanced MS Excel, Word, MicroStrategy, Nielsen IRI, NABCA Diver, Python, and Outlook.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Skilled in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Skilled in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Skilled in applying established procedures to situations that are non-routine in nature requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Knows the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
