Do you have a passion for developing education and training programs for an industrial workforce? This newly created position will allow you to provide support to the training and education needs of a diverse workforce. You will provide direct training and mentoring for operations education training-support staff to include Maintenance and Controls Department.

What You Will Do

  • Monitors all compliance-related training requirements for all employees within the organization
  • Oversees the tracking of completed required trainings
  • Researches, evaluates, and applies the use of applicable learning technologies to enhance overall effectiveness of programs
  • Engages in annual forecasting process for education and training requirements
  • Manages Maintenance Apprenticeship Program and participates as needed in company-wide Joint Apprenticeship Council
  • Develops, coaches and mentors subordinate staff in carrying-out training initiatives
  • Conducts performance evaluations and provides guidance and direction to participants in applicable Apprenticeship Programs

What You Need

  • Master’s degree plus 3 years of manufacturing production/operations, plant engineering, military leadership, or industrial trainer experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of manufacturing production/operations, plant engineering, military leadership, or industrial trainer experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR 9 years of manufacturing production/operations, plant engineering, military leadership, or industrial trainer experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Experience in the application of standardized training development methodologies and best practices including the use of the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) development process.
  • 2 years of training development experience and knowledge of Lean practices.

  • Supervisory or management experience.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience managing industrial training programs that reflect increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience in the application of project and program management practices supporting the execution of large and complex training programs.
  • Experience in the presenting information to senior management, public groups, government officials, and boards of directors.
