Compensation
Hiring Salary Range Posted: set rate listed as $18.30 / hour  

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. 
 

  • Under direct supervision, this seasonal position supports the Chemistry group by providing general routine assistance in the lab. In addition, this seasonal employee will sort and prepare results of grape samples.
  • Processes and samples grapes to include de-stemming, juicing and grinding.
  • Performs grape sorting, organizing, labeling, log-in, and sample preparation as appropriate.
  • Participates in the routine maintenance and organization of the lab. Participates in maintaining a clean work environment, upkeep of equipment, and an adequate supply of expendables.
  • Cleans and sanitizes areas of the lab, including interior/exterior of equipment.
  • Sorts and prepares results of grape samples.
  • Participates in field work.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Required to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Required to work overtime, weekends, and any shift, when needed.
  • The position requires seasonal availability for a 6 day work week (4 - 6 hours per day).
  • Required to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
