Step into a dynamic role where attention to detail meets meaningful impact. As a Jr Bookkeeper – Admin Assistant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while helping keep daily operations running smoothly. Working alongside experienced Accountants and Sr. Bookkeepers, you’ll contribute to everything from processing accounts payable and receivable transactions to supporting financial reporting and reconciliation efforts that drive smart business decisions.

 

In this position, your organizational skills and ability to multitask will shine as you coordinate schedules, manage communications, and support office operations. You’ll engage with internal teams and external partners, helping resolve routine inquiries, track departmental requests, and ensure timely follow-through across a variety of projects. Your work will touch both finance and administrative functions, creating a well-rounded experience that builds valuable business acumen.

 

You’ll also have the opportunity to strengthen processes, support audits and compliance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. What You'll Need

  • High School Diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting support, or administrative experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Intermediate computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and bookkeeping or accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial reconciliation practices, and standard office administrative procedures.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a busy office environment.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prepare routine correspondence and interact effectively with internal and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, sound judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Candidates are required to complete a credit check for this position; the results do not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment but will be individually evaluated to determine if the results disqualify the candidate for employment in such a position.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.   • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable.

 

How You'll Stand Out

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of progressively responsible experience in bookkeeping, office administration, or an administrative/accounting support role.
  • Experience coordinating calendars, meetings, and business documents in a professional office environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service.
