A Taste of What You'll Do

At Gallo, we believe great insights spark great decisions — and we’re looking for an Insights Manager to help bridge research and strategy, turning complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. In this mid-career role, you will independently lead small to mid-scale projects, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring research aligns with business priorities. You’ll bring mastery of research fundamentals, from designing and executing studies to integrating diverse data sources, and apply innovative methods across brand positioning, creative testing, packaging optimization, and consumer behavior analysis.

 

You’ll synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, syndicated data, cultural trends, and loyalty metrics into compelling stories that drive action across marketing, sales, commerce, and innovation. This role requires curiosity, agility, and the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs, delivering decision-ready recommendations that balance opportunity, risk, and commercial realities.

 

Collaboration is key — you will embed insights into strategies, foster alignment among teams, and operate effectively within Agile environments. Your work will connect consumer and shopper behavior to revenue growth, ROI, and customer value, influencing strategies that shape Gallo’s diverse portfolio of wine, spirits, RTDs, and beer.

What You'll Need

  • Master's degree in plus 6 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or analytics reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree in plus 8 years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or analytics reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School Diploma plus 12 years of experience in consumer insights, market research or analytics reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong research fundamental knowledge and extensive experience managing mid-scale custom research projects and vendor partnerships.
  • Proven ability to synthesize disparate data sources into clear, compelling stories at an advanced level.
  • Applied understanding of omni-channel shopper journeys, commerce strategy, and category dynamics.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled research platforms, digital analytics at a basic level.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint at an advanced level.
  • Proficiency with syndicated data, CRM/loyalty, and cultural/social listening platforms.
  • Skilled in data analysis tools (R, Python) and platforms such as Tableau and Power BI at an advanced level.
  • Required to travel up to 25% of the time in order to conduct job duties.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. How You'll Stand Out

  • Master’s degree or MBA in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Market Research, Psychology, Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Statistics, Mathematics plus 8 years of marketing research or data analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Alcohol/beverage industry experience.
  • Ability to design and execute primary and secondary research studies.
  • Advanced ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders with executive level insights storytelling.
  • Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience applying digital and analytic tools to improve research workflows and efficiency.
