The Enable Internship program develops talented individuals into trained positions within the business by partnering with the Vocational Coaching and Development Institute (VCDI). This program is designed to prepare participants for future employment within the Gallo organization. With direction from Gallo management and/or employees and a VCDI Job Coach will perform work related tasks. Under general supervision applies, and ensures the execution of food safety, quality assurance procedures, and quality systems. Works cross-functionally as a Quality Clerk, taking on varying assignments.
What You Will Do:
- Investigates ideas & opportunities to improve Food Safety Management System.
- Reviews logs or forms for completion and accuracy.
- Assists in tasks to maintain document control.
- Functions as Quality’s contact for quality/food safety issues and continuous improvement initiatives for specified suppliers to the winery.
- Applies and interprets statistical techniques as appropriate in quality related issues both internally and/or externally applies statistical techniques to sampling protocols to drive targeted sampling based on risk.
- Develops quality assurance reports as needed; communicates results to impacted organization.
- Participates on teams to share information, perspective and direction on quality and food safety related issues, as needed.
- Supports quality improvement through targeted projects for poor performers and reoccurring issues.
- Performs verification activities in Bottling.
- Transfers and maintains logs in Ignition.
- Participates in food safety and quality audit programs, as needed.
- Supports onsite production and root cause re-occurring issues, as needed.
- Assists in formulating quality control procedures.
- Supports solutions for cost savings Implementation and Execution.
- Participate in Risk Management activities, as needed.
- Supports test method development and test method validation activities.
- Evaluates corrective actions taken to ensure it is complete and conclusive.
- Verifies via inspection functions to ensure that customers receive product that meets the quality.
- Gathers and analyzes technical data.
- Evaluates and presents test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses.
- Implements technology improvements or modifications.
- Monitors and ensures achievement of project goals, objectives and timelines.
- Identifies improvements or modification opportunities.
- Communicates project status.
- Functions as a functional liaison ensuring consistent alignment of quality assurance objectives.
- Provides support in driving supplier quality performance specified in contract agreements, winery policies and brand protection expectations.
- Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality regulatory considerations.
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or State-Issued equivalency certificatfe
- Current participant of the Vocational Coaching and Development Institute.
- Required to comply with company GMP Policies.
- Skilled in the use of MS Word and Excel
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
Compensation:
Hiring Salary Range Posted: $ 18.50 per/hr.
