Are you passionate about data integrity and providing exceptional customer service in a dynamic and diverse environment? Join our People Operations team as an HR Technician, where you will play a vital role in managing confidential employee information for a global enterprise of 7,000+ employees. This position offers the opportunity to work with both union and non-union groups across multiple states and international entities, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all employee data change requests.

 

 

 

In this role, you will be the go-to person for processing a variety of employee data changes, from semi-monthly to weekly payrolls, and even international no-pay groups. You'll be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information, partnering with HR and business leaders to advise on proper coding for employee transactions, and providing exceptional customer service to HR Business Partners, Industrial Relations/HR Representatives, Time Admins, employees, and HR Centers of Excellence.

 

 

 

We are looking for someone who can work independently with minimal supervision and has a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with multiple collective bargaining agreements, federal and state regulations, and corporate policies. Your expertise will be crucial in training new HR staff on corporate processes and policies, as well as working cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, Retirement Plans, Compensation, and HRIS to resolve data and system issues.

 

 

 

Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements, conducting re-verifications, and coordinating unemployment claim information. You will develop and run queries to audit employee data, participate in internal and cross-functional projects, and maintain personnel files and documentation.

What You’ll Need

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of administrative support experience to include Human Resources reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of administrative support to include Human Resources reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Discretion required in dealing with confidential information.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook at a basic level.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing routine reports and correspondence. Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
