A Taste of What You'll Do
Join GALLO as a CAD Design Drafter and help bring innovative engineering concepts to life. In this role, you will develop detailed design drawings and specifications from engineering sketches and design proposals, using CAD and drafting software to create accurate, practical solutions. You will evaluate design requirements such as size, shape, part arrangement, dimensions, weights, angles, and compression; prepare layouts; and produce detailed multi-view drawings using engineering data and established standards.
You will compile and assess test data, recommend design adjustments, and make updates that improve functionality, quality, and alignment with project specifications. You will also support the installation and configuration of AutoCAD, serve as an administrator for the department’s document database software, and build advanced technical capabilities through ongoing training and development. This position provides the opportunity to resolve a range of routine to intermediate technical questions, collaborating with experienced team members on more complex challenges.
Success in this role comes from attention to detail, sound judgment, curiosity, and a commitment to quality. You will contribute to onboarding and developing team members while helping maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive work environment. We welcome candidates with a range of experiences and perspectives who are excited to apply their drafting, problem-solving, and technology skills in a collaborative engineering setting.
