A Taste of What You’ll Do
As the Commercial Wine Innovation Director at GALLO, you will lead the vision and execution of bold, consumer-driven innovation for the Commercial Wine Business Unit. In this highly visible role, you’ll own the end-to-end innovation pipeline—from identifying new opportunities and shaping brand concepts to launching and scaling products in market. You will partner across cross-functional teams and senior leadership to bring new ideas to life, ensuring every initiative is grounded in strong consumer insights and disciplined brand development.
You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and execution, building compelling brands while managing full P&L responsibility and driving go-to-market success. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding agile teams, external partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver against ambitious growth objectives. With a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics, you’ll continuously refine innovation strategies and optimize in-market performance.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of wine innovation by leading high-impact projects, mentoring talent, and delivering breakthrough ideas that resonate with consumers and drive meaningful business results.
What You’ll Need
- Master's degree plus 8 years of CPG marketing experience to include Alc Bev marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of CPG marketing experience to include Alc Bev marketing reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of Gallo Commercial Wine experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 11 years of CPG marketing experience to include Alc Bev marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience building and introducing new brands.
- Experience managing total P&L for a group of brands.
- Experience managing large A&P budgets with a diverse marketing mix
- Experience managing a broad range of stakeholders & multiple external agencies.
- Required to travel up to 25% of the time in-market in order to perform job duties.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

How You’ll Stand Out
