If you enjoy working with multi-disciplinary teams, telling a good story and starting a conversation, we want to hear from you. As a Copywriter, you’ll help craft the voice of our wine and spirit products. You’ll work on a variety of brands in bringing each one to life in creative and interesting ways across a variety of outlets—social media, websites, print ads, videos, email campaigns and more. 

What You Will Do

  • Partners with Creative Services, Digital Marketing, and Brand Marketing to develop written content for use on branded websites, social media platforms, and brand back-labels; actively engages in supporting written content ideation and development for new brand development, and key marketing campaigns.
  • Researches innovative content approaches and storytelling trends/techniques; devises and applies content development best practices as appropriate.
  • Functions as a brand steward, ensuring all content reflects the desired brand voice and editorial guidelines.
  • Reviews previously developed content; recommends usability improvements to ensure content clarity, brevity, calls to action, and streamlined online navigation.
  • Partners with project stakeholders to craft content/story ideas which are optimized for the specific channel, media platform and targeted consumer.
  • Participates in brainstorm sessions to help craft creative ideas and strategies to further promote marketing campaigns.
  • Engages in studies to acquire insight and test new brand concepts, names and positioning.

 What You Will Need

• Master’s degree plus creative, writing, journalism, content marketing creation education, instructional design, or technical communication reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; -OR- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of creative, writing, journalism, marketing content creation education, instructional design, or technical communication reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; -OR- Associate’s degree in English, writing journalism, or communications plus 4 years of creative, writing, journalism, marketing content creation education, instructional design, or technical communication reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Master's degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or Technical Communications plus 2 years of marketing content development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; -OR- Bachelor's degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or Technical Communications plus 4 years of marketing content development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Skilled in proofreading and paying close attention to detail
  • Skilled in working on simultaneous projects in a very fast paced, team oriented environment.
  • Skilled in prioritizing work, managing the project workflow to meeting deadlines and manage expectations appropriately.
  • Experienced in reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Experience effectively presenting information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Access at an intermediate level.
  • Applies advanced knowledge, principles, theories, concepts and writing skills.
