Do you have a passion for problem identification and the development of sustainable, positive change?  Do you have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization?  If so, this position is for you!  You will be responsible for engaging and empowering all levels of the organization in the identification and elimination of waste while positively impacting key plant metrics such as safety, quality, efficiency and cost.  

What You Will Do

  • Works directly with all levels of the organization to implement the continuous improvement culture.
  • Leads plant management on daily Gemba Walks to identify improvement opportunities, drive solutions, and develop operational expertise; leads on the spot Kaizens to solve minor problems identified on the Gemba Walk.
  • Coaches and mentors operations staff in all areas surrounding continuous improvement; provides formal training on Lean principles.
  • Drives Lean transformation initiatives; tracks and develops reports on Lean metrics.
  • Utilizes DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) and other lean tools and methods to close business gaps while managing the organizational change aspect of the change.
  • Communicates and presents organization recommendations, status updates and progress on continuous improvement efforts and departmental action plans.
  • Functions as a liaison with outside departments and organizations to insure balance of cost, quality, and service while implementing lean principles.

What You Need

  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of plant operations, plant engineering, supply chain management, corporate finance, or full cycle project management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of plant operations, plant engineering, supply chain management, corporate finance, or full cycle project management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Supervisor/management experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Master’s degree plus 6 years of plant operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of plant operations experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • E. & J. Gallo Winery experience.
  • Full Cycle project management experience.
  • Experience executing organizational change or implementing a continuous improvement program.
