As a Communications Strategy Manager, you will oversee development, integration and implementation of consumer integrated communications strategy and activation for the Barefoot master brand. In this highly collaborative role, you will act as the Project and Activations management leader with Barefoot consumer marketing agency relationships and internal relationships ensuring alignment with brand philosophies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the envisioning, development, and execution of the briefs and activations of the Sub Brand Integrated Communications Strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Partners with lead integrated consumer marketing agencies (internally and externally) to develop and execute the annual comprehensive communications plan to address reaching our target audiences and developing affinity, awareness and engagement for the Barefoot Master Brand.
  • Manages annual integrated communications budget for existing and new products.
  • Consults and coordinates with consumer brand marketing team, Barefoot ambassador teams and e-commerce.
  • Develops innovative consumer relationship marketing ideas and plans for implementation.
  • Maintains close relationships with key partners in digital marketing, creative and events marketing to ensure communications across the brand portfolio are consistent and reflect the brand identity and messaging.
  • Provides thought leadership in integrated marketing communications for the Barefoot brand via trend, culture and analytical evaluations.
  • Develops and activates the annual comprehensive marketing communications calendar.
  • Responsible for considering cultural communications and media trends and opportunities to create growth strategically beyond the current communications landscape.
  • Accountable for ownership of the Barefoot brand ID across all owned channels, including but not limited to our social media, digital and websites.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Master’s degree plus 3 years of communications, public relations, marketing, or new product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility -OR-  

Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of communications, public relations, marketing, or new product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a brand communication process.
  • Excellent oral, written, and impersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital communication tools, methods and trends.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to influence audiences from diverse and varied backgrounds. 

What Will Set You Apart

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Public Relations plus 5 years of communications, public relations, marketing, or new product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility -OR- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or Business plus 7 years of communications, public relations, marketing, new product development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience working at a communications agency in either digital, media relations, or PR.
  • Experience inspiring the best from key support areas such as advertising agencies, and customers such as Sales.
  • Thorough knowledge of using communications and Brand ID/positioning to create compelling competitive differentiation.
  • Experience with brand building, as well as classic consumer packaged goods marketing and niche marketing where required.
  • Track record of being able to work in an ambiguous environment amongst a large team.
