A Taste of What You'll Do
As a Bookkeeper I, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting accurate, timely, and well-organized financial records that help the business and family entities operate smoothly. Working under the guidance of Accountants and Senior Bookkeepers, you’ll be trusted with a wide range of transactional and reporting activities that keep financial information reliable and ready for decision-making. Your work will contribute directly to maintaining strong financial controls while supporting day-to-day accounting operations.
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to general ledger maintenance, payroll coordination, accounts payable and receivable, and bank and broker account reconciliations. You’ll collaborate closely with internal partners and external providers, ensuring information flows accurately and efficiently. From preparing journal entries and supporting audits to assisting with tax documentation and cash flow projections, your attention to detail will help ensure financial integrity across multiple entities.
You’ll also have opportunities to build your skills by supporting investment tracking, loan applications, and inventory records, all while learning from experienced accounting professionals. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, values organization and accuracy, and takes pride in being a dependable partner in a busy, collaborative environment.
What You'll Need
- High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of bookkeeping experience to include 3 plus years of experience in double entry accounting and full lifecycle payroll processing reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Computer skill requirements include: intermediate MS Word and MS Excel and intermediate with bookkeeping software such as Quickbooks or Famous.
- Possess some understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
- Detail orientation and skilled in multitasking in busy office environment.
- Uses discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Candidate should be a self-starter with a good organizational skills

How You'll Stand Out
- Associates Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
- 5 plus years of double entry accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Some skills in reading and interpreting documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals, writing routine reports and correspondence, and speaking effectively and presenting to groups of customers or employees of the organization.
