Are you a visionary with a passion for bringing innovative products to life? We are seeking an Associate Innovation Manager to join our dynamic team and spearhead brand innovation initiatives that will shape the future of our business. In this role, you will manage multiple project platforms, ensuring alignment with project objectives, and lead cross-functional teams to transform ideas into market-ready products. Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating with various departments, delivering frequent updates to leadership, and ensuring timely decision-making for market delivery.

 

As an Associate Innovation Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of liquid development, serving as the key liaison between Product Insights & Innovation and cross-functional partners from the project's inception to completion. You will lead and facilitate the idea brief process, collaborating with teams such as BU Finance, PISO, and wine/spirit-making to define scope and other aspects of the project. Your role will include monitoring and evaluating innovation processes, identifying problems, and providing recommendations to ensure smooth implementation.

 

Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you work with cross-functional partners to ensure consumer preferences are reflected in the final product. You will bring fresh thinking to the team, ensuring that processes and project initiatives run smoothly and efficiently. Leading cross-functional teams, you will develop comprehensive project plans aligned with market timelines and milestones, ensuring all aspects of product development progress according to plan.

You will participate in the Agile Process to coordinate timelines and project plans with partners, monitor activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget, and present findings to leadership to gain alignment on priorities. Your responsibilities also include complying with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.

What You'll Need 

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations, Scrum/Agile, Process Improvement, New Product Development, Operations, or Supply Chain to include experience leading cross-functional projects reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Gallo winery experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum/Agile, Process Improvement, New Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales or Wine Style/Sensory to include experience leading cross-functional projects reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations, Scrum/Agile, Process Improvement, New Product Development, Operations, or Supply Chain to include experience leading cross-functional projects reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Master’s degree plus 2 years of Gallo winery experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum/Agile, Process Improvement, New Product Development, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales or Wine Style/Sensory to include experience leading cross-functional projects reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills.
  • Experience working with all levels and functions within a Company.
  • Required to see, smell and taste wine as part of job duties.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Experience with effectively presenting information to management.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and constant change.
  • Computer skills requirements include: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Experience creating project work plans.
  • Experience with leading projects where there is a level of complexity in the product itself and where collaboration is key to success.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.
