A Taste of What You'll Do
Bring your accounts payable experience to a role where accuracy, urgency, and service make a meaningful impact across the business. As an Accounts Payable Technician, you will perform moderately difficult accounting transactions, process payables, provide general accounting support, and help ensure payments are handled with care and compliance.
In this role, you will investigate and resolve complex accounts payable issues, research past due statements and old invoices, prepare microwire payments, and support vendor relationships through partnership with Purchasing and Finance. You will also enter and review vendor invoices in Ariba/SAP, verify check runs, monitor workflow aging, support sales and use tax compliance, and help maintain accurate general ledger activity.

What You'll Need
- High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 5 years of accounts payable, finance or accounting experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of accounts payable, finance or accounting experience.
- Candidates are required to complete a credit check for this position; the results do not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment, but will be individually evaluated to determine if the results disqualify the candidate for employment in such a position.
- Computer skill requirements include: basic MS Word; intermediate MS Excel.
- Skilled in using 10-key by touch.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Skilled in using discretion when dealing with confidential information.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
- Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
How You'll Stand Out
- Some college course work in accounting.
- SAP Ariba experience.
- Skilled in, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Skilled in effectively presenting information and responding to questions in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Skilled in calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Skilled in applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Skilled in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Skilled in working under pressure, meeting aggressive deadlines and making sound decisions.
- Good organizational skills.
