As a C&PI Analyst, you’ll provide support for multiple systems, including internal C&PI systems, such as Astute and SIMS, Institutional systems used across Gallo that are administered by C&PI, such as Content Server and LIMs, and Institutional systems used by C&PI that require departmental administration, such as SharePoint and Workfront. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for configuring the systems and providing training as necessary to deliver excellent user experience. 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide system administration, application configuration, and training and support of user communities across multiple systems.
  • Define, implement, and maintain application administration processes and tools for multiple C&PI Systems.
  • Manage administrative changes across multiple applications, ensuring compliance with change control processes and procedures.
  • Optimize help desk scripts, and provides guidance to our IT partners regarding support protocols for multiple systems.
  • Responsible for development of training materials that facilitate user self-help capabilities.
  • Serve as the internal system expert for multiple system configurations and administration functions, and responsible to keep administration guides current.   
  • Maintain application enhancement logs to provide input to our external vendors and IT partners regarding features and functions to maximize the end user experience.
  • Analyze solution options, and designs and develops code to build workflows, user interface modules, and other application enhancements. 
  • Define and tracks metadata necessary for application tables and reports, ensuring compliance with change control processes and procedures.  Maintains change log for changes needed to support new facilities and products.
  • Responsible for communication to leadership and users regarding application or system changes affecting multiple systems. 
  • Provide management status updates related regarding key system problems and possible solution options.
  • Manage user experience and tracks user satisfaction across multiple systems.  Works with our education partners to develop training courses, and facilitates new user training.
  • Analyze new business requirements, and develops solution option recommendations leveraging cross functional systems.
  • Analyze and fulfills data requirements for C&PI’s Analytics and Research Operations teams. 
  • Develop service level agreements with our IT partners for interfaces between C&PI systems and other Gallo technology.
  • Participates in 24x7 on-call rotation to support C&PI systems.

What You Need

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; or 4 years of computer systems experience (i.e., business systems, content management, customer relationship management) reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 2 years’ experience supporting and administering business systems
  • Skilled in the use of SQL at an advanced level.

  • Experience providing system administration for multiple systems.
  • Skilled in using Visio for business process mapping.  
  • Experience supporting Open Text content management, Astute customer relationship management, and Workfront project management systems.
  • Knowledge of Laboratory and Sensory Management and Analytic systems.
  • Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting business practices across diverse departments and create efficient systems processes to solve operating problems.
  • Experience developing, delivering, and maintaining application training and help desk support.
  • Knowledge of network computing; client server, and service oriented architectures.
  • Experience creating flow charts of business processes and translating them into technical designs and user documentation.
  • Skilled in web development, i.e., Javascript, HTML, and other web-related technologies.
  • Skilled in SQL query language and relational database design and development.
  • Experience working with file management and databases and skilled in Oracle and MS SQL databases.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
  • Skilled in effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Skilled in performing work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in character, usually involving limited responsibility, requiring evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Possesses knowledge and applies the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
  • Required to be on-call for remote or on-site after hours work.
