As an Account Manager in Marketing Operations, you will provide end-to-end project management leadership for cross-functional projects and initiatives for a portfolio of Gallo's brands. You will manage and develop a team to support and execute a range of Packaging, POS, Digital and Corporate design projects to accomplish goals established by the business unit. You will be a liason between cross functional partners in maintaining client objectives and communication goals with internal partners and external agencies to lead cross-functional teams. You will have the opportunity to impact change through process improvements and analyzing inefficiencies.


What You Will Do

 

  • Manages an account management staff functioning at various levels.
  • Manages high-level, complex Packaging, POS, Digital and Corporate design project/initiatives to include new brand development, brand redesigns, and new campaign development.
  • Functions as the Creative liaison to various winery departments and project owners for new design and maintenance driven projects.
  • Partners with the marketing department to complete creative briefs; works with creative
  • management to generate project timelines, cost estimates and manages project spending throughout all phases of development for new design initiatives.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for multi-channel marketing programs, ensuring proper resourcing, budgeting, communication and adherence to timelines.
  • Participates in the IMP process and Agile Marketing practices and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Maintains total brand responsibility for the assigned business unit.
  • Delegates and prioritizes projects based on business objectives.
  • Demonstrates and encourages innovation, thought leadership and critical thinking to drive continuous improvement.
  • Evaluates risk assessment, contingency planning, and provides recommendations on course corrections.
  • Analyzes business processes and/or data and makes recommendations that lead to improvements in ways of working.
  • Partners with multiple functional groups to ensure the success of brand initiatives.
  • Supports positioning and new brand development efforts for the assigned business unit.
  • Attends consumer research sessions to capture consumer insights and communicate recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Facilitates brainstorming sessions for assigned brand set.
  • Works closely with designers and senior management to secure appropriate brand team consensus for all projects.
  • Provides the design team with marketing insights materials and key competitive marketing data.
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of consumer trends, key competitors/sales channel, and merchandising characteristics for assigned brand set.
  • Ensures that basic project management principles are followed on all projects for assigned brands – time, cost, scope, and communication.
  • Develops, coaches and mentors peers, indirect and subordinate staff.


What You Will Need

 

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of project management or account management experience to include timeline management and cost management accountability reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of project management or account management experience to include timeline management and cost management accountability reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Managerial or supervisory experience.

 

What Will Set You Apart

           

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of project management or account management experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Prior winery experience in a creative services marketing capacity.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and client services fundamentals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building.
  • Experience with new product development.
  • Knowledge of marketing, consumer research and design principles.
  • Experience developing and maintaining business relationships.
  • Knowledge of brand equities and promotional success factors.
  • Experience analyzing project spending trends and determine root cause.
  • Knowledge and understanding of POS, Marketing and Sales functions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Marketing and Design principals.
  • Skilled in leading meetings and group discussions.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects and work well under pressure with little supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
