As a Senior RUN Engineer you will provide high quality technical and functional support and development for applications and systems. You will work with minimal guidance to analyze business requests, system problems, and optimize opportunities to develop and deliver technical specifications and solutions. You will focus on our eCommerce platform powered by Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Order Management, and integrated with Mulesoft.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Troubleshoots and supports the eComm platform in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and Order Management (OMS).
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL/SOSL).
  • Design, maintain, and update SFCC and OMS such as OMS workflows, APEX code, and SFCC scheduled jobs.
  • Troubleshoots MuleSoft integrations impacting the platform.
  • Maintains knowledge of changes that impact support of the full Salesforce ecosystem including all 3rd party integrations including but not limited to Authorize.net, Ship Compliant, Wine Shipping, and SAP.
  • Responds to application monitoring, performance tuning and testing.
  • Ensures incident management protocols for P1 and P2 tickets are followed, such as escalating high priority incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensures tickets and work assigned is completed within agreed upon SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and provides periodic stats reports on performance while following Information Technology Infrastructure Library standards (ITIL).
  • Independently executes to business requirements and identifies risks in the development process and evaluates if our current tools and technologies can support.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of new or existing applications, processes, and integrations, such as Run books, test plans, and instructional manuals.
  • Studies existing data systems and new technologies to evaluate effectiveness and develops new or modifies current systems to improve processes.
  • Maintains quality assurance testing and practices, unit testing, and regression scripts up to date with most current changes.
  • Responsible for conducting or coordinating quality assurance testing and practices, unit testing, and regression scripts to deliver IT services that meet requirements, work as planned and integrate with other IT services.
  • Identifies and drives continuous improvement projects and automation to reduce support work needed.
  • Strong understanding of the business areas supported to determine specific output requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge in the principles and application of problem-solving approaches to process improvement, system design, business challenges, and technical problems.
  • Strong understanding of the utilization of middleware to integrate applications and data in the portfolio. Can articulate and define the effect on development and support of IT services and business projects.
  • Articulates and defines the impact of requested changes on applications, processes, and integrations for development and support activities
  • Sets realistic customer expectations for system issue resolution and small enhancement project delivery (scope, scheduled) and outcome.
  • Drives discipline and service delivery as planned, delivering sustained operating stability.
  • Effectively communicates with peers, team, customers and management.
  • Leads the preparation of proposals, presents plans to key stakeholders and provides recommendations for management and users.
  • Leads one or more medium sized and complex projects which entail overseeing internal IT professionals, as well as external IT professionals.
  • Evaluates and provides estimates for development and support.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental project teams and may work cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Assists in defining work plans and is expected to meet budget and schedule commitments.
  • Provides timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific skill areas
  • Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT business units/areas to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Provides on-call support during off-hours when needed.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations.

        

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or Data Sciences plus 3 years of experience in programming analysis, software engineering or software development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience in programming analysis, software engineering or software development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of experience in programming analysis, software engineering or software development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Required to provide on-call support when necessary.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of development toolset, development processes, and Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Knowledgeable of network management, service management, ITIL, SLA’s and outsourcing.
  • Experience supporting Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Order Management (OMS).

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL/SOSL).
  • Ability to design, maintain, and or update Salesforce OMS workflows.
  • Ability to design, maintain, and or update Salesforce APEX code.
  • Knowledge of the MuleSoft integration platform.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and or update Salesforce Commerce Cloud scheduled jobs.
  • Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Skilled in applying advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Skilled in applying mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
  • Experience defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Experience performing that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in character, usually involving limited responsibility, requiring frequent evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Demonstrates a high level of programming proficiency.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative, self-motivation, and commitment to the job.
  • Experience resolving conflict.
  • Skilled in acquiring knowledge in other business areas, demonstrating strong team building skills, adapting to unexpected changes and being a strong role model.
