As a Sr. Platform Developer ERP you will be responsible for all types of development and customizations on "the platform", including coding, unit testing, building applications, and creating and/or modifying existing applications/configurations. You will work alongside Platform Administrators (Configurator role), Business Relationship Managers, and other Team members providing strategic solutions to support the needs of the business.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the design, development and implementation of technical solutions in accordance with requirements provided by the business and/or other areas within the IT organization.
  • Applies industry best practices and advanced methodologies, including Scrum techniques, to address and review system requirements, business processes, changing development and technology environments.
  • Creates new functionality to modify and extend existing apps using appropriate technologies.
  • Responsible for conducting or coordinating quality assurance testing and quality assurance practices to deliver IT services that meet requirements, work as planned and integrate with other IT services.
  • Ability to execute to business requirements and be able to identify risks in the development process.
  • Performs root cause analysis for any technical application issues.
  • Utilizes technical understanding to ensure successful upgrades and implementation of future phases of application.
  • Makes recommendations and proposals to leadership on architectural integration design.
  • Plans and prepares documentation of the development and functioning of operational systems including technical reports and instructional manuals.
  • Provides training and support for designated customers. Leads project, conducts internal and external meetings as needed.
  • Develops and mentors peers.
  • Provides timely guidance and feedback to peers help strengthen specific skill areas.
  • Provides technical guidance and business knowledge to peers on semi-complex projects.
  • Promotes best practices across different groups.
  • Participates in creating work plans for others and is expected to meet budget and schedule commitments, as well as communicate project status to all levels of management.
  • Participates in 6-quarter product roadmap planning.
  • Drives performance measurements in all elements including development, delivery, operations, SLAs, and customer service.
  • Understands the capabilities and constraints of the platform and maximize their value in our applications and tools.
  • Understands the business areas supported to determine specific output requirements and report format. Supports multiple business areas.
  • Functions as a liaison with other departments, divisions, and organizations.
  • Continually looks for ways to improve systems and processes and runs improvement projects.
  • Ability to actively identify new areas for learning; regularly creating and taking advantage of learning opportunities.
  • Works on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously, ranging from moderately to highly complex in an Agile development environment.
  • Works independently with little to no guidance and direction from others.
  • May be required to provide on-call support during off-hours.
  • Provides guidance or leadership for other members of the team
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

 

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Math, Systems Engineering, or Data Sciences plus 3 years of IT experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of IT experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of IT experience.
  • Advanced experience in: Web Development (ie. html, javascript, css), Object Oriented Programming, Continuous Integration Software Development process, Data Modeling/Management, Change Management.
  • Competency with REST/SOAP API functions.
  • Knowledge of latest integration technologies available between applications and platforms.
  • Full understanding of Agile methodologies and ITSM processes such as incident, problem, change management, and project development content.
  • Advanced experience in data management concepts or data modeling on a major data management platform.

 

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, MIS, Math, Systems Engineering, or Data Sciences plus 5 years of IT experience; OR Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of IT experience; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of IT experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead projects.
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop and lead others.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analysis techniques.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in basic office applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • 3 years of experience with configuring IT applications and platforms supporting entire lifecycle management.
  • 3 years of experience with developing integrations to and from the platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of APIs, SQL databases, and data exports/imports into the platform applications as well as other integration options.
  • Excellent understanding of common programming languages used for API development (such as Python or nodeJS).
