As a Senior Accounting Systems Analyst you will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems and processes and perform system validations.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain log of upcoming, ongoing and completed projects, and align on priorities with management.
  • Serves as liaison between users, IT and departmental staff regarding required update/changes in software.
  • Performs system-related validations and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Maintains and updates department systems software.
  • Provides training on business system/software to departmental staff.
  • Participates in modifying procedures to solve problems considering business system, computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results.
  • Analyzes trends and may prepare forecasts in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas.
  • Conducts special financial and business related studies as requested.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of other, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

 

What You Will Need:

  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of computer systems or accounting experience (i.e., business systems, ERP, accounting, inventory) reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or 9 years of computer systems or accounting experience (i.e., business systems, ERP, accounting, inventory) reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

 

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of computer systems experience (i.e., business systems, ERP, accounting, inventory) reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Skilled in responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Skilled in writing speeches and articles of publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Skilled in effectively presenting information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Skilled in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Skilled in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Skilled in interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Skilled in completing assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Has appreciable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
  • Possesses and applies broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult tasks.
