As a Quality and Food Safety Systems Manager with E. & J. Gallo Winery, you will develop, maintain, and align regulatory and Global Quality & Food Safety Systems for all Gallo owned and operated production facilities. You will lead efforts for certification and maintenance of certification to FSSC 22000 within all Gallo enterprise. Additionally you will drive internal food safety auditing teams in ensuring that all enterprise winery sites are maintaining quality and food safety standards and that all ISO certified sites are implementing programs adherent to FSSC 22000 standard.

What you will do:

  • Oversees, coordinates and engages in food safety and quality audits to ensure that all Gallo facilities are compliant with regulatory and corporate food safety and quality guidelines.
  • Establishing requirements for Quality Systems Governance, including but not limited to writing and developing corporate Quality Systems documents and practices.
  • Responsible for establishing Quality Systems document structure and hierarchies. Ensures documents are organized and maintained across all sites per the governance practices.
  • Manages document control and administration, Intelex CAR/PAR and change management technical systems, auditing, and quality systems coordination. Ensures governance and maintenance of Intelex for consistent use across cross-functional user groups employing Intelex.
  • Manages the Quality and Food Safety Risk Index documents including assessing the risk index tool for enterprise functionality and assessing internal sites and all associated processes, inclusive of reporting out to leadership during management review sessions.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of manufacturing/production quality and food safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility, OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 12 years of manufacturing/production quality and food safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to possess quality and food safety program management and quality and food safety auditing experience in a production environment.

What will set you apart:

  • Bachelor of Science degree plus 10 years of manufacturing plant food safety experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Master of Science degree in a technical field.
  • Possess a CQE certification.
  • Possess a Preventative Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) Certification
  • Food and beverage industry experience.
