As an Associate Salesforce Developer at E. & J. Gallo Winery, you will be responsible for participating in research and development across various Salesforce Platforms.   You will work alongside a team of other Developers and Business Analysts, helping to provide innovative solutions utilized throughout the Winery.


What You Will Need:

  • Participates in quality assurance testing and quality assurance practices to deliver IT services that meet requirements, work as planned and integrate with other IT services.
  • Executes to business requirements and identifies risks in the development process.
  • Effectively communicates with peers, team, customers and management.
  • Understands the utilization of middleware to integrate applications and data in the portfolio.
  • Articulates and defines the effect on development and support of IT services and business projects.
  • Maintains knowledge of principles and application of problem solving approaching to process improvement, system design, business challenges, and technical problems.
  • Acquires general understanding of business areas supported to determine specific output requirements.
  • Participates in studies pertaining to existing data systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new or modifies current systems to improve processes.
  • Codes, tests, documents, debugs, provides training, installs and maintains programs.
  • Participates in planning and preparing documentation of the development and functioning of operational systems including technical reports and instructional manuals.
  • Develops and reports against work plans with management review.
  • Applies current technology or researches and acquires new technical knowledge to complete simple assigned projects and resolve issues.
  • Participates in department and interdepartmental project teams and works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
  • Acts as a liaison with users.
  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.


What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of programming analysis, software engineering or software development experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Possesses a basic knowledge of development toolset, development processes, and Quality Assurance methodologies.
  • Skilled in the use of MS Word and MS Excel at an intermediate level.
  • Good communication skills.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering or Business Administration plus 1 year of programming analysis, software engineering or software development experience.
  • Experience with object oriented programming languages.
  • Demonstrates a moderate level of programming proficiency.
  • Experience reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Experience writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Effectively presents information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Experience applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
  • Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Experience applying established procedures to situations that are non-routine in nature requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity.
  • Demonstrates strong initiative, self-motivation and commitment to the job.
  • Acquires knowledge in other business areas.
  • Strong team building mindset.
  • Skilled in adapting to unexpected changes in work priorities.
  • Knows the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.
  • Salesforce administration experience on one or more of the Salesforce platforms: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Marketing Cloud
  • Familiar with Lightning Web Components, Apex, VisualForce, Salesforce API’s, and SOQL
