As an Associate Brand Development Manager in Spirits, you’ll lead brand-building initiatives for a set of assigned spirits brands. This is a highly cross functional role that works closely with both internal organizations and external partners as a main point of contact to ensure that brand strategy is reflected in projects. You will manage multiple marketing platforms and brand objectives, to bring our brands to the next level and introduce new brands to the marketplace.


What You Will Do


Brand Ownership

  • Own brand-building initiatives for assigned Spirits brands and
  • Delivers annual Business Review and Brand Plan to Marketing Leadership Team members and understands key business drivers
  • Works with external agencies/partners to develop and execute marketing plans
  • Prepares customer marketing sales sheets and presentations to communicate brand messages and RTBs
  • Prepares presentations and approves POS and Creative designs ensuring they are aligned with brand strategies


New/Test Brand Development

  • Develops and implements the go to market plans and KPIs based on new brand learning needs
  • Works closely with manager and brand development team to define requirements for in market partner selection
  • Helps develop mechanisms to scale product launch over time given feedback from the market and from consumers
  • Regularly travels to different test markets within assigned territory and Gallo headquarters to support business objectives


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive forward brand platforms
  • Leads the Scrum/Agile process for the Brand Team on assigned brands
  • Collaborates with sales, category management, commerce, distributor management, and e-retail teams to support cohesive plans.
  • Secures the Compliance department’s approval and communicates brand/product content for use in tasting notes, customer programming, and consumer communications



  • Observe and analyze trends and competitive activities to seek out innovative ways to drive brand growth
  • Responsible for development and oversight of in-market test plan and reporting.
  • Makes recommendations on next steps of a test brand based on in-market learnings
  • Develop and regularly track A&P budget for assigned brand


What You Will Need

  • Master’s degree plus 3 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. -OR- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of communications, finance, marketing, supply chain/supply planning, process development, new product development, project management, process engineering, or sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility. -OR- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience effectively presenting information to top management, public groups and boards of directors.


What Will Set You Apart

  • Master of Business Administration degree plus 3 years of Gallo brand marketing experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Multiple Gallo marketing rotations.
  • Experience training and developing junior level brand marketers in executing brand and organizational objectives.
  • Experience managing business operations and leveraging basic finance and accounting principles.
  • Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
