As a Data Scientist-Operations Research on our Decision Science & Innovation team, you will partner closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners to solve complex, enterprise-level problems. You will leverage the latest data science methodologies to develop advanced mathematical  models that introduce automation, predictability and optimization to multiple levels of decision-making across the value stream. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in white space and creating impact from the ground up in a fast-moving  environment.
What You Will Do
Continuous Improvement:

  • Develop recommendations to change systems, policies, and procedures; ensure timely and accurate implementation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on projects to identify and articulate opportunities, see beyond the data to identify solutions that will raise the bar for decision-making.

Analytical Skills:

  • Perform large-scale modeling, optimization, simulation and statistical analysis in the areas of supply chain network design, transportation optimization, and forecasting using tools & packages such as SQL, Python, R, Gurobi, Tableau etc.
  • Define, compute, track, and continuously validate business metrics with descriptive and predictive analytics.
  • Act as a seasoned operations research analyst who can help others on the team plan their research and implementation.

What You Need

  • Master’s degree or PHD in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science; OR Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science plus 2 years of experience applying mathematic modeling for manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution functions/processes reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, or Applied Mathematics plus 2 years of experience applyingmathematics or heuristics based programming for business functions and processes in manufacturing, supply chain, or distribution.
  • Experience performing advanced data modeling and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience using data handling and modeling packages such as Python and R.
