Are you a sustainability-focused Ranch Manager looking for the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Ranch Manager with strong leadership skills to manage a team of 10-12 full-time employees and 3,000 acres of land. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the newest grape growing technologies in pruning mechanization, canopy management, irrigation management, and autonomous innovation. In collaboration with Senior Leadership, you will be responsible for strategic decision-making that focuses on vineyard sustainability, grape output, and process innovation. Join us today!

What You Will Do

Vineyard Management:

  • Manage the ranch work environment and ranch resources (land, labor, FLC’s, equipment and material)
  • Monitor all vineyard tasks/activities ensuring that the vineyard personnel are properly trained and tasks/activities are performed safely and properly
  • Monitors all aspects of crop development and forecasts crop tonnages
  • Leads the implementation of capital projects within assigned areas of operation; manages project deliverables and communicates to larger team and leadership
  • Maintain compliance with the company, state, local and federal regulatory standards

Collaboration:

  • Maintain good relations with neighboring property owner(s) and handles neighbor complaints within established framework
  • Manage vineyard removal, development and installation to include layout, planting, irrigation design, installation, trellis instillation, vine training, fertilization/nutrition, pest management, soil conservation, soil amendments, soil preparation, and water status/monitoring
  • Provide resources, technical support and analysis to support research plots

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agriculture Business or other applicable Agriculture Science degree plus 5 years of ranch management experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; or high school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of ranch management experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Required to possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • GIS mapping experience.
  • Required to travel to different ranches via automobile.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Bachelor’s degree in Viticulture, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agriculture Business or other Agriculture Science degree plus 8 years of ranch management experience to include supervisory or managerial experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Possession of PCA and CCA License
