This position will be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco, CA (other CA locations will be considered) and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

 

Join the dynamic Gallo team and drive profitable share growth of our malt products within assigned National Accounts. We are looking for a dedicated individual to develop key customer relationships, fostering robust support for Gallo's diverse product portfolio. This role focuses on building and expanding both new and existing products while implementing strategic initiatives to boost total malt category growth.

 

As a vital team member, you will communicate monthly with wholesalers and the Gallo Distributor Management team to ensure the execution of chain priorities and programs. Regular market visits with wholesalers will enable you to evaluate and capitalize on opportunities across all Customer Development accounts within your assigned region. You will drive the adoption of best practices and methodologies, collaborating closely with Customer Accounts and Distributor Management counterparts. Your responsibilities will include developing revenue and profit growth objectives and embracing continuous improvement across Customer Development Standards of Performance. Partnering with Category Management, you will analyze market, sales, and forecast data to identify business opportunities and execute strategic initiatives. Developing Joint Business Plans, managing corporate resources, and presenting compelling cases for new product distribution are integral to this role. Cross-functional collaboration is key, working with various teams within the customer's organization, including Senior Management, marketing, e-commerce, and supply chain. You will ensure open communication channels between the winery and distributor sales organizations, supporting regional and corporate sales objectives. Compliance with all regulatory considerations is essential, as is your role as a Gallo Ambassador, advocating for our brands and promoting sales within the community.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated or Non-affiliated Distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of CPG sales/account management, retail sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 7 years of E. & J. Gallo Winery Sales, Gallo Affiliated or Non-affiliated Distributor Sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of CPG sales/account management, retail sales/account management, or corporate business development reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire. This position will undergo a motor vehicle check (MVR) to confirm a history of safe and responsible driving. If needed, candidate must obtain the appropriate state driver’s license based on the position’s location within 30 days of hire.
  • Required to obtain Liquor License as required by state/locality.
  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of business.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.   • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • 1 year of malt beverage sales experience

What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of Gallo winery or distributor sales or customer development experience to include a prior rotation as a Business Development Manager, Market Development Manager Sr, or Account Manager 2; OR Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of external alcohol sales experience to include account management experience.
  • 1 year of malt or ready to drink beverage sales or account management experience.

Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $107,800 - $161,800 / year
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
